Plain text or synchronized lyrics?

Plain text is useful when you simply want to read verses and choruses. An LRC file adds timestamps to individual lines so the player can highlight them during playback. An MP3 does not automatically include synchronized lyrics: add them yourself or find a version that matches your recording.

Bring your text files or search for lyrics

Add a TXT or LRC file, edit the words in the player, or search for lyrics online. Searching requires an internet connection and depends on a matching song version being available. A live recording and a studio recording may need different timestamps even when the words are identical.

A karaoke player for your own backing tracks

Use a prepared backing track if you want to sing without the original lead vocal. KaraVoco plays your audio file; it does not remove vocals or supply a song catalog. Adjust pitch and tempo for your voice, then keep lyrics beside the library or move them into a separate window when your browser supports it.

Getting started

  1. Open KaraVoco and add your audio file or a folder of tracks.
  2. Select a track and add TXT/LRC lyrics or run a lyrics search.
  3. Start playback. With synchronized LRC lyrics, check that the timing matches your particular recording.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a karaoke song catalog?

You use your own audio files and lyrics. KaraVoco does not supply songs, and playing a local audio file does not require uploading it to a server.

Can I seek by clicking a lyric line?

Yes, with synchronized lyrics in the main window and lyrics panel. Clicking lyrics in a mini window does not seek through the track.
